Building skills and a love of learning

In Kindergarten, children start to connect sounds with letters, hold a pencil with control and work with numbers. Lessons are short, hands-on and full of play, so learning feels like an adventure rather than a chore.

The program also builds a positive attitude to independent learning. Children practise fine motor skills through art and craft, and gross motor skills through sports, dance and outdoor games.

What children learn in Kindergarten:

  • Phonics and letter sounds
  • Writing letters and numbers
  • Counting and number sense
  • Shapes, colours and patterns
  • Story time and show-and-tell
  • Art and craft
  • Music and dance
  • Sports and outdoor games
