Children aged 2 to 6 learn through play, stories and discovery, with caring teachers in bright, happy classrooms.

Young children are naturally curious about everything around them. The early years shape what they learn and how they learn it. At Brightleaf, children build the habits, confidence and friendships they will carry for life.
Four classes that grow with your child, from a first day at Play Group to a confident start in Grade 1.

A gentle first step away from home. Children settle in, make friends and explore through songs, stories, sensory play and outdoor time.
Explore Play Group
Curious three-year-olds build early language, number sense and confidence through circle time, picture books, art and guided play.
Explore Nursery
Children begin phonics, letter and number writing, and build fine and gross motor skills along with a positive attitude to learning.
Explore Kindergarten
A solid foundation for Grade 1: reading simple words, writing, early maths and the habits children need to move confidently into big school.
Explore Pre-PrimaryTeachers find out what each child already knows through observation and one-to-one conversation, then build on it by inviting them to explore the world around them.
Teachers guide behaviour with patience, clear routines and praise, so children feel safe, respected and ready to learn.
Children learn best in clean, cheerful spaces. Our classrooms are bright and tidy, and our outdoor areas have gardens and room for active play.
A balanced day of reading, making, moving and exploring.
Weekly storybooks and guided reading build language skills from the very first year.
Trips outside school give children new experiences and a sense of the world around them.
Puppets, collages, painting and crafts, to their hearts' content.
Plenty of physical activity builds motor skills, stamina and team spirit.
Playground time, nature walks and open space to run every day.
Children and teachers grow a garden together and learn how things grow.
We hold ourselves to high standards in childcare and education, and keep improving how we teach.
We encourage questions, exploration and the joy of finding things out.
We build warm, honest relationships with children, families and the community around us.

“The teachers are so caring and patient. My daughter runs into school every morning and comes home with a new song every week.”
“Clean classrooms, a safe campus and regular updates from the teachers. We could not have asked for a better first school.”
“My son has grown so much in confidence since joining Play Group. He is speaking more and loves story time.”
Our curriculum is built on respected early-education research and designed by our own teachers to help children become bold explorers and confident learners.
